Weekend

Amusing quotes re: Wimbeldon.

From a NYT article, Andy Roddick about his loss:

“I’m not happy,” Roddick said. “I’m mad, disappointed, whatever other adjectives you want to throw out there. I’m not that smart, so you think of them.”

From not the NYT, regarding the Baghdatis v Nadal semi-final match:

[Rafael] Nadal does look like he’d just as soon club someone as play tennis.

Also, tomorrow, my new bed arrives. Possibly without a mattress, but we take things one step at a time. Besides, the mattress deliveryman threatened to come by at 6am. That’s in about two hours. No thanks.

In other news, I thought New York was a great place for freedom, but my beautiful illusions were shattered with news of this. And the fact that I couldn’t choose my Columbia email address. Did I ever mention how much I hate those numbers following the name? You know what made it all the worse? They gave me a second account through the business school, that also had some random numbers attached to the end. Why would they do this to me?

  2. That is one of the sucky things about Columbia. Most of the other things I like, like the cool campus and the free printing.

When I clicked on the link, I got that “you have to sign in to read this” screen. But you know, I saw the title and I didn’t think it was worth the effort to keep on reading :(

  3. Oh, there’s free printing? That’s excellent. Well, the business school has free printing anyway, but it’s also good to know that the university gives you free printing. Otherwise, it’s just depressing.

Speaking of depressing, that article, yeah… I can send it to you, if you’d like. Just let me know.

  4. Is that article so depressing?

    Am I missing something?!!! :o

Not that it matters. But, if I visit your blog often, I should be at least aware of your preferences. :|
