Back in Boston
Registration Day is tomorrow, and it’s awful. My advisor won’t be able to enjoy the full madness of my pre-registration, as he is again out of town. But with two full pages of classes, how could you not love my pre-reging? In other news, tried, and succeeded in watching some movies recently.
- Pride & Prejudice (2005) A pretty film with pretty music, but I didn’t even see the sexed-up American version and I’m still left wondering about its appropriateness. I mean, would they really talk like that? And what’s up with Darcy looking like a sad emo puppy the entire time? Not quite the pride I’d imagined from the book’s descriptions, you know?
- Walk the Line. Would have probably enjoyed this more had I cared at all about Johnny Cash. But my relative lack of interest didn’t keep me from enjoying Joaquin Phoenix’s little, “Hello ladies and gentlemen, I’m Johnny Cash” thing. And yes, Reese Witherspoon was lovely, but isn’t she always?
- Alexander. Ok, actually failed to finish this. Maybe will try later, but I got tired of making fun of it after about an hour and half. That little kid at the beginning was so cute, then he turned into Colin Farrell with a really bad dye job. Sad.
