Reconnecting
I’ve finally begun to regain my social life again, after a month and a half of near isolation. I was frightened when at dinner last night, an old friend asked what I was up to. “You know… What do you do in your free time these days?” It was a simple question, and I wish I had a simple answer. Something about my favorite hobby, perhaps?
And then I realised, I never feel like I have free time anymore. I used to love shopping, but recently, I haven’t even had the patience for that. You know it’s bad when I can’t even be bothered to shop.
So now, I’ve devoted more than half of my weekend to reconnecting with old friends and catching up on their lives. Hopefully, as the term winds down, I’ll be able to do more of the same. Isn’t it great to do something that actually feels rewarding?
By the way, yes, I have realised that I have failed to put up pictures since June. I will get around to that eventually, I promise. Maybe even this week, if my classes don’t kill me with work.
