It Must Be the Skirt

So, I went to browse a bit along Michigan, thinking that I might actually buy Jo a real present for her (now belated) birthday, and I met some guy who told me that he was a TV producer doing work with Asians. Something about not being able to find Asian women with curves for his commercials… As much as I would have liked to join him for coffee and a tour of the studio, I was in a hurry, and I left.

Now when I think about it, it must have been the skirt. It seems like every time I wear this skirt, I get all sorts of random attention. First, it was some girl in the Shanghai subway talking about modeling, who I promptly ran away from. Then, it was a woman who followed me for a block and a half near People’s Square, this time, asking me if I was interested in doing image consulting work.

For a skirt that cost me 5 bucks, that’s not half bad.

  1. Hahahah that’s AWESOME! It would be really interesting if that did happen.

Actually, sometimes when I look at magazines that supposedly target gay girls and the models in there, I think I could be a lesbian model ;)

  3. Well, I was actually talking about Michigan Ave. in Chicago. But I’m having a great time. Man, I had to literally run away from a guy a couple days ago because he couldn’t just make do with a bad pick up line, he had to actually touch me. Ugh.
