The M Word
Tonight, for the first time in a year, I met up with an old CTY buddy. I had the joy of sneaking into a Harvard dining hall followed by an evening of frank conversation regarding relationships. I didn’t realise how isolated I was from the real world until I spoke to his friend, who proudly proclaimed that she wasn’t getting satisfaction, emotionally or physically, from the relationship she was in and that she was hoping to be married by the time she left college.
Now, I don’t think I’ve ever heard anything like that from any girl at MIT, and when I do, I’ll be scared out of my mind. At least it’s good to be reminded of what the rest of the world is like.
