Be a Participant!
As I’m sure many of you already know, volunteering for human studies is a great way for students to supplement their normally sad incomes. Well, congratulations. If the results of your study get published, you’ll now be referred to as a “participant” rather than just a “subject,” as recommended by the American Psychological Association’s newest language guidelines.
I know that’ll make me feel much less stripped of my individuality the next time I decided to become a human guinea pig.
